Aloha!

My name is Elisabeth and I help Big Island Hawaii coffee farmers and quality-driven roasters and cafes in Boston find each other. My work lives in the space between relationship-building, origin storytelling, and quiet behind-the-scenes coordination.

Born and raised in Boston, I left in 2019 for a work trade position on a small organic Kona coffee farm on the Big Island of Hawaii. Six years later, I now bridge the gap between small Hawaiʻi farms and the roasters/cafes who want their micro-origin coffees.

With a background in UX design and digital storytelling, my understanding of coffee shifted through long days picking cherries, talking story with farmers, working bar shifts, and living inside the rhythms of Hawaiʻi’s coffee community. Eventually, coffee stopped being a product and became a relationship to land, people, and history.

Over the last six years I’ve gone from barista, shift lead, operations, to running digital marketing, photography and online sales for a leading Kailua-Kona coffee shop with three locations. I know all the in’s and out’s of what it takes to grow, sell, buy and market coffee.

Now, as a Big Island Micro-Origin Coffee Liaison, I work with a small circle of farmers and roasters, curating intentional relationships and tiny lots that make sense for both sides. I’m not a broker or importer, I’m the bridge that helps the connection feel clearer, easier, and more human.

What Is Micro-Origin
and How It Elevates Your Brand

When I say micro-origin, I’m talking about coffees tied closely to a specific farm, family, and landscape on Hawaiʻi Island.

I’m talking about:

  • Who grew this?

  • On what land?

  • At what elevation, with what varieties, under what conditions?

  • What does this place taste like in the cup?

  • How can we tell that story honestly and respectfully?

For roasters and cafes, that means access to Big Island farmers you can actually build a relationship with as well as a narrative around their story and farm, not just list their location.

What is the process of working with me?

Working with me is simple, transparent, and personal. I share the latest Hawaiian micro-lots available from farmers I know and trust. You can request samples, cup them with your team, and decide which lots fit your roasting style and menu goals.

How do I request samples?

Once you see a micro-lot you're interested in, you can request a 100g or 8oz sample. I ship directly from Hawaiʻi so you can cup the coffee with your team before committing to a purchase.

What happens after I choose a lot?

I coordinate the reservation of the lot, issue the invoice, and arrange shipment straight from Hawaiʻi. Because everything ships domestically, you avoid import delays, customs forms, and international freight complications. It’s fast, clean, and reliable.

Can I talk to you about processing, farm practices, or flavor profiles?

Absolutely. I’m available for calls and happy to walk you through each farm’s practices, processing style, drying method, and what influences each coffee’s flavor. My goal is to make sure you feel informed, confident, and excited about the story you’re bringing to your customers.

Why should my roastery or café carry Hawaiian micro-origin coffee?

Hawaiian coffee offers something rare, a menu item with natural storytelling built into it. Even carrying a small amount lets you offer a memorable pour-over feature, a limited seasonal release, or a roaster’s reserve that stands apart from typical imports.

How does Hawaiian micro-origin coffee benefit my customers and baristas?

Your customers get a unique flavor experience they can’t find anywhere else. Your baristas get a story they’re proud to share — a direct connection to the farmers and the land. It enhances hospitality and gives your shop a meaningful point of difference.

What are the best ways to feature Hawaiian micro-origins on a menu?

These coffees shine as weekend features, rotating pour-overs, subscription club highlights, holiday or seasonal releases, or small-batch roasted drops. I can help with positioning and customer-facing language to make your micro-origin offering stand out.
